I have been involved in vineyards and wine for twenty-five years; I have worked in important companies in the Maremma wine scene, contributing to the production of reference wines for our production area (Maremma Toscana). Since 2006 I have undertaken my own wine production, dedicating myself exclusively to native grapes: I have walked the rows of Maremma vineyards for a long time, selecting the best vineyards for exposure, soil and age. I work mainly with old vineyards, between 40 and 50 years old, which I have leased for long periods (12 years).
I cultivate the vines according to traditional methods, intervening as little as possible with mechanical work and green pruning, so as not to stress the plant. For health defense I use only natural products (copper and sulfur). In the cellar I almost exclusively use cement containers, as well as large wood for aging the superior wine. I try to intervene as little as possible with oenological operations, accompanying the evolution of the wine without forcing it.
